Assault Rifles

An assault rifle is a selective-fire rifle designed for combat use (capable of firing in both automatic and semi-automatic modes). Assault rifles are the standard infantry weapon in most modern armies and have largely replaced or complemented larger and more powerful combat rifles such as the American M14, the Belgian FN FAL and the German Heckler & Koch G3.
